The AuStrom Horde will be descending en-masse on Bright, Victoria for three days – 1st – 3rd of March 2019. Come for one day, two days or three days – it’s entirely up to you. Ride, eat, drink and socialise.
Here we go Ladies and Gents, our 3rd Birthday Event in sunny down-town Bright from March 1st to March 3rd 2019. If the first two are anything to go by, this will be HUGE! Get your accommodation booked early as this is a very popular destination, and bookings are filling fast. Hope to see plenty of faces there, new and old! BRING IT ON!!!!

Friday 1st March 2019 – Meet and Greet
We’re all going to be meeting up at the Alpine Bright Hotel on Friday afternoon and evening for the weekend kick off. Relax, wash the dust out of your throat with a cold one (or two) at our usual meet and greet along with some pizza and nibblies to keep the wolves at bay. At $10 a head you could not do any better.
Saturday 2nd March 2019
Big Day today! After a leisurely breakfast and a poke around town, we’re going to splitting into two groups for the day ride. There will be two routes out and back, one bitumen and one dirt for those feeling a little more adventurous.
Saturday lunch will be alternates drop of chicken and fish with additional options for vegetarians. Prices will be posted asap but will be in the region of $20.00 – $25.00.

Saturday night is the official AuStrom Birthday Celebration dinner at the pub and it’s going to be a big one. Saturday night menu will be choice of steak, chicken and fish with options for vegetarians. We’ll also be holding the raffles that night and will be giving out a number of awards to our members. Cost of dinner will be around 36.00 per person including desserts. Again more info as soon as it comes to hand.

All good things must come to an end, and so our Birthday Bash closes down for another year. A hearty breakfast and strong coffee? Or just a couple of paracetamol and no noise? Your choice.

The back room elves have been pushing their sewing machines to the point of limit and they have really excelled themselves. We’ll be posting photos soon but needless to say – they are going to be selling like hot cakes.
The Alpine Hotel Bright is going to be our base for the Friday and Saturday night meals. They have 23 rooms which they have set aside for us at a discounted rate of $100 per night. There is no more convenient place to be staying for this event.

Autumn brings the Bright Autumn Festival featuring lush autumn leaf colour, the Alpine Classic Golf Tournament, held in Bright, Myrtleford and Wangaratta. The Bright Easter Market is on as well as the Alpine Film Festival. The Buffalo Stampede Ultramarathon starting and finishing in Howitt Park is held mid-April bringing runners from all over the world to compete.
Winter brings snow to the surrounding peaks and the opening of the Snow Season on Queen’s Birthday weekend.
